Acting responsibly,
daily and stategically

Sustainability is a core value that guides every action at Gpi. Environmental, Social and Governance aspects are integrated into our strategies. We aim to grow responsibly, with a focus on the impacts on people, communities, and the environment.

ESG Pathway

The Sustainability Plan is the tool that, since 2022, translates the corporate strategy into concrete actions to enhance and systematize initiatives aimed at improving the Group’s sustainability profile. The Plan is monitored every six months, with regular checks to assess progress and adapt actions quickly. Thus far, the ESG Pathway is being structured to best respond to the new challenges introduced by the European Directive (CSRD).

Key themes

Equal Opportunities

In 2023, Gpi obtained UNI PdR 125 Certification for gender equality and ISO 30415 Certification for diversity and inclusion. The Group appointed a Diversity & Inclusion Manager and established a D&I Committee to ensure the development and monitoring of practices that promote an inclusive culture. The Gender Pay Gap analysis carried out in 2023 showed that women, on average, earn higher salaries than men, although this varies based on contract type. The Group continues its efforts to increase female representation in managerial roles and close the pay gap, aiming for 20% of women in leadership positions by 2026.

Parental protection

In 2023, Gpi achieved significant results regarding return from maternity leave: 100% of employees returned after mandatory parental leave, and 94% retained their employment after 12 months. This figure is significant, as it safeguards the job continuity of almost all female employees. Gpi supports the return to work with initiatives such as the Family Audit certification, the Mommy & Daddy Kit, and the LIFEED program, and is committed to creating an observatory to monitor post-leave retention.

People’s Growth

For Gpi, talent retention is essential to foster growth, innovation and maintain a competitive advantage. In 2022, the Group launched a review of job profiles to clarify the skills required in each role, a process that is still ongoing. Continuous employee training has taken a central role, with over 117.000 hours provided in 2023, of which 99.000 were dedicated to professional training. The Group has also implemented development programs for managerial skills and business coaching courses for top management roles.

Quality of Work

Gpi has adopted a hybrid work model, enhancing work-family balance. Health and safety protection is a central priority, which is why the Group has adopted the ISO 45001:2015 standard. In 2023, 16.716 hours of safety training were delivered. Additionally, Gpi has developed initiatives to promote the well-being of employees and their families.
